Frame: 970 grams light.
The lightness of the chassis comes from specially laminated carbon fiber. The design and geometry of the frame makes for a rigid high-performance bike in breakaways as well as high-speed descents.The rear triangle has 50% greater torsional stiffness than traditional frames. The teardrop shape of the chain stays facilitates the vibration damping for a smoother ride.
Seat tube:
The seat tube flares where it meets the bottom bracket, for increased stability and rigidity. This can actually increase energy transfer efficiency, which is especially important during long climbs.
